No idea as to the name, but I think Dimples's mom made something like this dessert last weekend! Chocolate wafer cookies, whipped cream, and...oh, I don't know.

Hey, I was right! Except I didn't know about the vanilla.

I was right! I was right! Nabisco wafers ... I knew because I've always wanted to make this. Yours looks delicoius ... wish I could have some!

Hi BNA,

You guessed it! I'm glad to know this is still being made in other places, too.

Hi Ivonne,

I wish I could give you some. Even with fewer wafers it made a big roll that was tough for two people to finish!

I have seen this recipe before, and have always wanted to try it! It looks soooooo gooooood!

I just notice that you're reading Philip Pullman; I've heard a lot about his books, esp. the "His Dark Materials" trilogy, but haven't picked them up yet. How do you like him?

Hi Tania,

Thanks for asking about the Philip Pullman books. I've finished the trilogy and it was fantastic! I highly recommend it. While I enjoy Harry Potter, the plot and the various "worlds" within "His Dark Materials" are a bit more complicated and sophisticated. After I finished each book, I couldn't wait to begin the next one. Try it out and let me know what you think!

This is just too weird -- I myself am in the middle of book three of the Dark Materials trilogy. It's beyond gripping.

Oh my goodness! I haven't seen that dessert since I was a little girl, my mom used to make it all the time. Thanks for the memory! :)

Wow, I'm itching to pick up the Pullman books NOW. Thanks for the recommendation!
